Best Beaches In The World | Koh Phi Phi, Thailand

Situated on the coast of Thailand, in the Andaman Sea, Koh Phi Phi Islands are located between the island of Phuket and the mainland. Koh Phi Phi, one of the Best Beaches In The World is very famous for its diving sites and for magnificent beaches with beautiful sand. This place is well known for the famous movie ”The Beach”,  released on cinema’s screens in 2000, directed by Danny Boyle, with actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Virginie Ledoyen and Guillaume Canet. The film was made near Koh Phi Phi island, on the island of Phi Phi Lee,  MAYA BAY.

Koh Phi Phi is one of the most visited islands in Krabi province and it is labeled the most beautiful island in Asia.  In fact, we are talking about a group of islands that abound in rocks, caves and white sandy beaches.  If you don’t like the warm of sandy beaches , you can take your mask and snorkel to observe the seabed and a lot of colorful fishes. The divers will find in Koh Phi Phi a very diverse fauna and flora. They can enjoy the coral reefs. Forget the car here, because you are moving by boat. The island of Koh Phi Phi is accessible from various points : Phuket, Krabi and Koh Lanta.

Since 1983, Ko Phi Phi  was declared National Park.  After the 2004 tsunami, the Koh PHI PHI island was almost fully recovered , being practically rebuilt and ready to receive visitors. Due to
the latest archaeological discoveries, it seems that the old communities of the island, coming from very ancient times,were called  Krabi (“sword” in translation),  like the name of the province.
The name of the island, Koh Phi Phi, is a Malaysian name, and comes from the original word which refers to the translation of mangrove forests .

Prices are not so high in Koh Phi Phi, at least for those who have never stepped into Thailand, but 3-4 higher than the rest of Thailand. Accommodation is between 10 and 20$ up to 50-100 $ per night, depending on the location of the bungalows.  The food is also not so expensive.

Unfortunately, the distance makes all the difference in price, but for lovers of exotic, KO PHI PHI is definitely a recommended destination, because is one of the top beaches in the world .

All accommodations in Phi Phi Islands are situated in the largest  island, namedKoh Phi Phi . On this island, you can relax in one of the many restaurants eating fresh seafood, or rent boats to visit the lime stone caves of Phang Nga Bay, or enjoy a sun bath on sandy beaches.

Best Beaches In The World | Isle of Capri

Not many places on earth have landscapes worthy of royal visits, but undoubtedly the Italian Isle of Capri is one of them,  one’s favorite celebrity refugees .

Steep limestone cliffs that rises from the depths of the sea, lush vegetation , turquoise water and luxurious villas with gardens, from ancient The Isle of Capri fascinated many artists and writers like Thomas Mann, Pablo Neruda, Graham Greene, Axel Munthe and Maxim Gorky. Nowadays, many stars – including Keanu Reeves, Mariah Carey, Elton John and Eddie Murphy have here a summer residence. Thanks to spectacular landscapes and romantic atmosphere, the isle of Capri was the perfect location for so many movies, especially for Italian films, whose protagonists were, among others, Tony Curtis, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Brigitte Bardot, Marcello Mastroiani or Burt Lancaster.

Initially, the island was colonized by the Greeks, but the history of this little paradise (Isle of Capri ) is about the Emperor Augustus in particular. In the year 29 BC he bought the small island (only 10 km ²) from Naples, in exchange for Ischia island, being captured by the splendor of this place permanently. Equally fascinated and turned out to be his successor, Emperor Tiberius was fascinated by the Isle of Capri that he built 12 villas on the magical land in honor of the 12 gods of Olympus, certainly a sign of gratitude for the uniqueness of the Isle of Capri. Obviously, the presence of two historical figures had an overwhelming influence on the architecture of the isle of Capri and also on urban development. Later, the isle of capri become the favorite destination of Italian, French and British nobles.

You can access Isle of Capri just only by water. To reach the island, the simplest option is a flight to Naples and from there either by ferry from Calata Porta di Massa, either by hydrofoil from Molo Beverello or Mergellina. The journey takes about 40 minutes by hydrofoil, 50 minutes by fast ferry  and 1 hour and 20 minutes by classic ferry. You can rent different boats, private or groups from ports of Naples, Sorrento and Salerno, with prices ranging between 9 and 16 Euro per person, plus tax Storage to arrive in Isle of Capri. Of course, if money is not a problem, the isle of Capri can be reached by helicopter, boat rental or personal yacht …

In terms of gastronomy, in the Isle of Capri there are significant differences compared to the Mediterranean and Neapolitan, the main protagonists remaining olive oil, tomatoes, garlic, oregano, mint, basil, parsley, marjoram, olives and anchovies. In addition to seafood specialties, you can find pasta and pizza, more accessible, but in general, you must be attentive to menu prices, if they are not displayed because you can have surprises …
Among the most important events held here in the Isle of Capri include celebration of St. Constantine (14th) and St. Anthony (June 13), protectors of the island, and Grape Festival (August-September).

Boracay Island

Boracay Island, one of top 10 beaches in the world, has a length of 12 km and is divided into three communities. White Beach is the biggest tourist attraction of the island. It covers 4 km, so space will not be a problem. With white sand and clear blue water, Boracay is known as the most exotic island in the world. Here, the possibilities for fun are unlimited. On the Boracay island, there is a professional golf field with 18 holes and two diving schools, where you can learn to enjoy the full ocean underworld.

Less known to tourists, Boracay Beach has incredibly shallow and clear waters,  fine white sand, which can not be said about all the beaches in the archipelago. Located on the West Coast between the villages of Angol and Balabag, this is known as the ”White Beach”.  Here you can find 300 hotels and dozens of restaurants, bars and night clubs that bop until morning. With a variety of restaurants, bars, pubs and night clubs, with more than 350 beach places and 2,000 rooms, one thing is certain : in Boracay there is everithing for everyone.

Saint Bart’s Island

Saint Bart’s island, which stretches over a length of 13 km, hosts 20 beautiful and isolated beaches, which loan from elegant French , and the relief afforded by an island. Saint Bart’s, located near Puerto Rico, is an exclusive place where you can relax, you can shop, you can ride a luxury yacht, or you can meet your favorite star, as it is a place frequented by public figures.

Saint Barthelemy, as it is called in French, St. Barts island, how Americans call it, has become the preferred destination for celebrities. Because of heavenly landscape, the island is often used for pictorials in swimsuits. In Saint Bart’s island have been made ​​several photo shoots for Sports Illustrated, Playboy and Victoria’s Secret.
Long island was considered a place for the rich and famous, known for beautiful beaches, chic restaurants and designer shops. Saint Bart’s island attract many paparazzi who harass celebrities not only in their private villas, but also on the beach.
