Huatulco is a paradise of beaches bathed by the Pacific Ocean, its golden, fine sand and clear water, along with the fantastic vegetation surrounding it are very appealing for the tourist. Located in Oaxaca City, in Mexico, comprised of 9 bays with 36 beaches. These bays are under the protection of the Parque Nacional Bahías de Huatulco, the waters are clear with a mild swell.

The bay that most stands out is Bahía de Santa Cruz, which is one of the main ecological reserves, 525 meters long, white sand, soft hills and mild water. Most of the coral reefs are there, it's ideal for diving and snorkeling and every year, the Torneo de Pesca de Pez Vela takes place there. This bay is the basin where the ships take the tourists to visit all the other bays, it even has a pier for cruise ships, and this attracts an impressive amount of tourists. The most important beach is Santa Cruz, which offers everything needed to practice different water activities, like motorboats, jet skis, as well as rent of equipment for snorkeling gear, etc. You can also enjoy other beaches, like La Entrega and Yerba Buena. These three beaches and the tropical ambiance make this area an unmissable paradise.

The hotel infrastructure is in agreement with the tourist flow, because it has many accommodations throughout Huatulco, with different levels and prices. If you prefer 5 star hotels, they are mainly located in Tangolunda.

Huatulco has very good communication routes and a modern international airport, 19 kilometers away from the hotel area. You can also get there by water, because it has a cruise ship port.

A very popular activity here is deep sea fishing. You can do that in a yacht with a specialized crew, or rent a boat. Rock climbing is also a popular activity, because the cliffs of Piedra del Sacrificio are excellent for it.

Other popular activities are mountain biking, hiking, walking, rappelling, shelling, horseback riding, golfing, etc., as well as diving, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, skiing, kayaking, etc.

Within a great amount of tours offered to the tourist, the one we really recommend is the one in a catamaran around the Huatulco bays, as well as the one to the Cascadas Magicas de Copalitilla (Copalitilla Magic Waterfalls) more than 20 meters high.

Huatulco has a diverse offer of bars and nightclubs in which you can have fun and enjoy typical beverages like mezcal or tequila, dancing to the rhythm of the hottest music.

Tulum, Mexico

On the Caribbean coast, on the southeast of Mexico, located in Quintana Roo, is the city of Tulum. This is the only Mayan city that was built by the water. It's a beautiful walled city which is one of the most visited places, and considered one of the big Mexican marvels. Tulúm, a word of Mayan origin, means "wall", it's the only archeological site by a beach, surrounded by walls on three sides: the fourth side of Tulum is the Caribbean Sea. The landscape is absolutely dazzling, from the reefs where the city is on you can admire the beauty of the Caribbean, with underwater caves and a tropical jungle.

Tulum is divided in three zones: the beach, the archeological and the town. The beaches are really impressive, and many of them are yet considered as virgins. In fact, every year thousands of turtles came to these beaches. Tulúm has three well differentiated areas: the beaches, the town and the archeological zone. The beach area is particularly breathtaking, many of them are still virgin, the cabins and small hotels were built in total harmony with the natural beauty of the surroundings. Tulúm is on the south point of the Mayan Riviera, which is very convenient to stay for a few days and visit the nearby ecologic parks: Xel-Ha to the north and Sian Ka'an to the south.

You can find every kind of accommodation here, for the most demanding tourists and you could also select the picturesque cabanas with different luxury levels, from the simpler ones to very luxurious ones.

Of course that many hotels use the typical Mayan decoration style to offer their visitors an accomodation totally incorporated to the amazing scenario that Tulum offers to the tourist..

From the International Airport of Cancún, you can take the Cancún-Chetumal highway, Tulúm is a little more than 130 kilometers away. There are buses that offer this service from the airport.

The archeological tourism, eco-adventure tourism and diving are only some of the activities you can do, besides all the water sports possible. Tulum is ideal for relaxing, physically and spiritually; you can practice meditation or yoga, or enjoy an old fashioned Mayan steam bath. Tulum is the eco-archeological destination, perfect for those who enjoy nature, sun and history; adventure, exploring and contact with nature.

Several of the best Mexican beaches are on the Mayan Riviera. Tulúm stands out, with the beautiful sky blue waters and for being next to one of the most impressive Mayan cities. Unlike Cancún or Playa del Carmen, Tulúm is a tranquil place with tourists who walk its extensive beaches. It's so quiet is not unusual to bump into people who practice nudism.

On the south of Tulum we can enjoy a gorgeous beach called Boca Paila, which is inside the Sian Ka'an Reserve, it's virgin and it's located between the Caribbean Sea and the Muyil Lagoon. It has a magnificient tropical vegetation, exotic birds, turquoise waters and white sands. You can get there by a narrow coastal highway, the local fisherman offer their services, and you can camp there as well.

The weather in Tulúm is tropical, humid and hot, the average temperature starts at 25ºC to 35ºC. The best time of the year to visit is from November to May, because the rainy season goes from May to October.

America's 2010 Best Beach: Coopers Beach, Southampton, New York

Coopers Beach Southampton New York: 2010 Best Beach In The US Coopers Beach, located in Southampton New York was recently declared the best beach in the US. The beach features a stretching shoreline. It was chosen during a survey from a number of beach goers from around the nation. The survey was conducted in 2010, and featured a number of criteria that the individuals who took part in the survey would then rate. The study was conducted by Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman. He is considered to be an expert on US beaches, and has done a large number of studies on the different beaches that are spread around the country.

Some of the criteria that was used in the studio included the water cleanliness, air and water temperature, sand color, rockiness of the beach, tidal range, buildings and various views that can be seen around the coastline. In the end, Coopers Beach came out at the top of the list to the surprise of many who have since seen the study. Many have found it odd that a beach in New York would be chosen as the best beach in the country with so many extravagant beaches in Florida, California, and in other coastal states.

Other beaches that rounded out the top ten include Coronado Beach in San Diego, CA; Cape Hatteras in North Carolina; Kahanamoku Beach in Waikiki Hawaii; Coast Guard Beach in Massachusetts; Beachwalker Park in South Carolina, Hamoa Beach in Hawaii; Siesta Beach in Sarasota; and Cape Florida State Park, located in Florida.
Coopers Beach marks another destination that tourists will likely be visiting as they make their summer trips to New York, in light of the recent study.
